What a generous congregation we are! Our Adopt-a-Family Program was able to "adopt" four families this Christmas. A special thanks to Margaret Nowicki , who led this team with her beautiful enthusiasm and created a way for so many to benefit. The Nowicki Family donated the gift basket materials that were creatively assembled and displayed for love offerings, which totaled $988.25! We nearly doubled that figure in other cash donations and donated gifts! This picture of Margaret with Annie, one of our recipients (plus the new bikes for her boys), says it all. Annie asked God to direct her to a church to provide Christmas this year for her two sons and she randomly pointed to UCCL in the phonebook! This is only one of a few of those "God-bump" stories that resulted. Another special thanks to Linda Crider, whose sweet handmade baby blankets are warming a new bundle of joy from Italy and another little one of Nicaraguan descent. Thank you all for keeping the spirit of giving alive and well at UCCL!
